Digestive health nutrition · online consultation
Online digestive health dietitian for active people
Digestive health is our starting point. I review your diet, symptoms, clinical history, available tests and habits, considering your hormonal context, physical activity and how sport fits into your daily life. Together, we agree on priorities to improve your digestive wellbeing, avoid unnecessary restrictions and adapt nutrition to your life, with referral when needed.
Tell me about your caseThe next step is not always to cut out more foods
People often come to me after trying food lists, supplements or restrictions without a complete strategy.
We first need to understand when symptoms occur, how they have developed, which diagnoses are established and what tests are available. The microbiota may be relevant, but it does not explain every symptom on its own.
A broad assessment with clear priorities
We may review upper digestive symptoms, bowel habits, food tolerance and variety, sleep, stress, physical activity, supplements and energy intake around training.
These are part of a nutritional assessment; they do not automatically establish that a particular disease is causing your symptoms.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need tests or a diagnosis before we begin?
Not always. We review the available information and, if something is missing that could change your care, I will explain what may need further assessment. Tests are not requested indiscriminately.
Do you work with SIBO, histamine, reflux or coeliac disease?
These may be reasons for seeking support when there is a diagnosis, an assessment in progress or symptoms that need to be understood. Nutritional support does not replace medical diagnosis or follow-up.
Will I need a very restrictive diet?
That is not an automatic starting point. Any temporary change will have a specific purpose and will be reviewed according to your progress and tolerance.
Is the microbiota causing my symptoms?
We cannot conclude that from symptoms alone. It is considered within a wider system, rather than as a universal explanation.
